House Projects

Since we have moved into the house we have had a list of projects that we want to get done. Most have been things that you wouldn't notice by walking in the house (HVAC and insulation). But this past weekend Brandon's parents came for a visit and helped us get a few knocked off our list. The major thing is that our odd room is no longer the odd room, it is now the study. The large opening between new study and living room has been replaced by beautiful french doors. This was the major project that Brandon and his dad worked on all weekend and they did a wonderful job. I can't believe what a difference they make. They help define the spaces but do not make the living room feel closed in at all. They also tore down the dog run in the backyard.

Brandon's mom and I spent the weekend searching for the perfect fabric for pillows and curtains in the study to coordinate with what I found for the living room. It took some searching, but we both fell in love with the paisley print we found and ended up adding it in more places than originally planned. We also found some great deals, but our best deal was the wooden curtain rod in the study that we got 70% off. I think it just makes that room look more elegant and I think it is my new favorite room.
